The benchmark of all day comfort, the Freeride makes a full day of charging through bumps and ripping groomers feel easy. Size Chart

What is Mondo sizing? Mondo sizes correspond to foot length in cm.

HOW TO FIND YOUR MONDO POINT SIZE
Print out the ZipFit Measure Your Mondo Size Chart or stand on top of a piece paper with your heel against a wall and all of your weight pressed down upon the foot you are measuring. Then, draw a line at your big toe or the longest point on your foot (we see you Morton's toe). Measure in centimeters the length of the paper to the line, and that is your mondo point size. Measure both feet, and size to the smaller foot.

Product details

The interior is stitched with comfortable neoprene that offers just the right amount of padding and is easy to slide on or slip off. Freeride ski boot liners properly position your foot so that your toes have wiggle room and stay warm thanks to a neoprene toe box insulated with Thinsulate and merino wool.

Fit considerations

The Freeride liner is pre-packed with the most OMFit self-molding cork composite, specifically designed for all day comfort and performance. Freeride ski boot liners best fit higher volume ski boot shells and lower volume feet, but while the Freeride comes pre-packed with more cork, skiers can still add more cork (sold separately) to the tongue or ankle pockets to dial in their perfect fit or take up excess volume.

3mm of neoprene lining offer cushion and comfort while still highlighting the efficacy of the cork filling. Feet properly positioned and locked in place. The neoprene interior offers an easier skier experience both putting on and taking off ZipFits.

The ZipFit tongue is built to reflect the asymmetry in the shape of the lower leg, with more padding on the medial side along the tibia and less padding on the lateral muscle of the shin. The pull tab should be centered on the leg for the tongue to be in the proper position.

Designed to accommodate larger, lower set calves, the fluted cuff reduces calf pain and is a more forgiving fit. Ski bell to bell with less fatigue and calf soreness.

The neoprene toe box offers a sock-like fit that conforms to the width of the skier's feet. The toe-box is lined with Thinsulate and merino wool to keep toes toast warm.

One of Sven's earliest contributions to ski boots, the power strap has been widely imitated through the ski industry. The ZipFit power strap helps secure the liner and tongue contact to the shin and can help take up volume for skiers with skinnier legs. Use the power strap for added contact and stiffness, or remove if desired.

The asymmetrical tongue design includes a cutout of the plastic tongue shield over the instep to accommodate sensitivity common in this area. Neoprene and the cork pouch are the two materials over the foot, so more cork can be added to take up space if needed.

Designed to keep your heel and mid foot in place, the lacing system positions your foot properly within the liner.

1mm ultra thin laces with speed lock lace mechanism.

Three cork pouches in each liner (located behind the top of the tongue and on either side of the instep) allow you to adjust the cork fill to dial in your perfect fit.

OMFit cork composite is the "active ingredient" in ZipFits, both because it remains dynamic and because it is the ingredient that heals the ailment of bad ski boot liners. It doesn't compress or pack out, it does move around so you can add more if needed.

Can I use ZipFits for Tele boots?

Yes! Tele skiers appreciate the benefits of ZipFits as much as anyone, especially the flexible and comfortable toe box. The GFT is a good option due to the flex panels for lower volume tele boots. We also commonly recommend the Freeride and Workhorse due to their fluted cuff which allows for a larger range of motion for dopping knees.

Do ZipFits work in Snowboard boots?

ZipFits are designed for the forces and fit requirements of skiing. We see plenty of snowboarders find success, but one should expect to make modifications to achieve their desired fit.

What’s better: leather or neoprene?

At all comes down to user preference.

  • Step in
  • Heel hold
  • Cushion

Are you willing to lace up your liners and step into your shells before every use? Our leather lined ZipFits require this move, while our neoprene lined ZipFits are easier to step into. If your answer is “no way” – we suggest the neoprene ZipFits.

Leather offers a true to form fit meaning your ankles and shinbone will imprint into the leather, securing your lower leg and foot to the ultimate degree.

Neoprene has more natural cushioning, so while you can still get an excellent fit, they have a more forgiving feel when skiing.

Both interior liners can last a LONG TIME with proper care. While we think of leather as more durable, we know of a pair of neoprene liners with 1500 ski days.

For precision fit and performance, the leather has a slight advantage.

For ease of use and all mountain comfort, the neoprene has a slight edge.

I noticed some imperfections on my liners. Is this normal?

Each pair of ZipFits are handmade in Montebelluna, Italy. As they are not mass produced, it’s fair to expect some small imperfections with glue, etc. This will not effect the performance of the liners. Each pair is unique and made with love.

Should I use footbeds in my ZipFits?

Yes, we highly recommend using a good over the counter orthotic or custom foot bed in your ZipFits. ZipFits are designed to keep your foot and leg in the proper position within a boot, having the correct footbed for you will help immensely.

Should I buy an OMFit kit with my ZipFits?

For most skiers, this is not necessary, which is why we don’t include the cork kit with purchase. Some skiers find they want to add cork to their liners during the initial fit, some want to add cork after two seasons, and some never add cork to their ZipFits.

Should be the 27.5. This is super supportive and a serious step up from the OEM liner. Can't wait for a few more days in them for them to finish the break-in period. As far they exceed my expectations.

I love this product!! I have a Low Volume Boot and this worked perfectly with my foot. It took about 4 days for the liner to mold to my foot and the fit is amazing! The heal hold is spot on for a expert fit but it is still very comfortable for those long days. My boot had a wrap liner before and this actual feel much better then the wrap liner and the boot has more flex. Worth every penny especially if it lasts as everyone says it does. Thank you Zip Liner for such a great quality product.

These things are amazing I wish I would have done this a long time ago! Absolute game changer for performance and comfort!

THANK YOU for making a 21.5! We have struggled to get my wife fit properly for boots with smaller feet and this is absolutely a game changer. Her Atomic Redster TX 110 21.5 boots still did not fit quite right, so along with some shell modifications, the zipfit liner is critical in getting her dialed. With larger calves, the softer top, rear section of the liner really helps with reducing pressure there, and the liner is the proper height for her legs, unlike the stock liner which is way too tall, along with the cuff of the boot (also being modified).

Game changer. The flexible material in the toe is exactly what I needed. I have a Mortons toe (second toe longer than big toe) and it would get banged up with stock liners. These liners have completely alleviated that issue. I should have bought these many seasons ago. Highly recommended!

My second pair. Nothing wrong with the first pair just setting up a second pair of boots. I have nearly 1,000 days in my first pair with nary a sign of wear.

These are so good and work beautifully in snowboard boots (ride insanos). Using a 27.5 freeride in a 27 insano shell - solidly grabs the ankle, locks down the heel and leaves the toes with much more space than a foam liner. Amazing for narrow ankles and downsized performance fitting boots. Best upgrade in 25 years of snowboarding. Highly recommended!

Miles better then your stock liners! I have been in mine for around 300 days and they are holding up great. I recently added a bit more cork and they are like new again. Highly recommend.

I should have bit the bullet years ago on these, they are the best investment in ski gear I've ever made!

I ski a lot for work and in years past have had a really hard time keeping a heel pocket. Even with multiple trips to the local ski shop throughout the season for butterfly wraps and other types of foam to fill space and keep my heel from lifting up in the boot.

After some days of breaking in the liner I added cork and the heel pocket is solid. My toes stay warmer in these as well. I appreciate the fluted cuff for bigger calves which makes a huge difference for me compared to other zipfit models.

I've never been happier in ski boots.

I've had mine now 3 seasons. I like to jump off cliffs, do tricks, and ski fast. I still get shin bang (skill issue) in these liners but far less than anything I've tried before. They have increased my skiing experience a ton locking my heel in and making my ski boots a more comfortable place. Although for the price point I feel the durability is lacking in this specific model. I've take ever care precaution (file down sharp spots, Duct taping the heal, treating the leather) and still my neoprene is all torn up and my is nearly falling off. I have recommend these to so many friends, but few are willing to make the switch due to price (suckers!). Oh yea and they are NOT warmer than your stock liners.

I have had two zip fit liners and skied over 300 days with them, they are durable, and have the best heel hold of any liner in the industry, they take awhile to break in but are extremely comfortable, the down side with every model is that the tongue of the liner is extremely hard with little cushioning, if you have week shins you have to get a custom tongue sued in. It would be awesome if they made a model with a cushioning tongue on the inside and a plastic protector on the outside to reduce shin bang.

Normally I have to add foam pads off the bat to a liner and ordered some extra cork expecting to have the same with this liner. Super precise fit after heat molding only a little bit. Bought these primarily for the longer lifespan as I'm in boots 150+ days a season so foam liners just don't hold up for even a full season. Proof will be in the long run as to whether I'm still in these and feeling spiffy next season but based on the other feedback from colleagues I'm planning that I will be.

I've been using Zipfits for about 15 years now. The laces break way too often ---so remember to always have spares. The liners themselves are as close to perfect as you can get. I've got over 1000 days on each of my original Zipfits but decided it was time to replace. These should be standard across all boot manufacturers. I go to a ski shop only to replace the shells. Every single shop understood why.

I've tried many after market liner options. my boot fitter had told me to pull the trigger on these, I should have listened sooner. The higher cost is a worthy investment- As an instructor, these boots address my foot shape perfectly and have noticeably improved my performance especially all day wear.
All of my "trouble areas" are now comfortably supported & these are really warm.

Zipfit is correct, As a telemarker w/ wide foot, I purchased the neoprene liner not leather.
Once I got used to it... the best way to put these on...their leather instructions. :
Liner first and use the horn to load it into the shell.

A ZF boot horn is essential (don't waste your time with knock-offs from online- ; they're terrible),
I recommend adding extra cork to your order NOW for a late-season refresh ,
they were sold out when I needed it last March.

The actual product feels solid and I’m sure it will improve my skiing, however cannot give it more than 3 starts due to lack of availability of extra cork! The whole concept is that you can customize your liners…but when there is no cork tube available it feels a bit like a company with limited capacity and planning to deliver the required parts and pieces. Yes I purchased in the off season but still seems fairly odd to me. Especially as there is no communication on when it will be available. Overall the customer service hasn’t been impressive. Fairly slow responses to emails and again limit information on what’s in stock and so.

Perfect! Level of skiing gets better, Liner is improving from Day to Day

Wow. I thought I knew what a good liner felt like after 9 years on another brand.

Call me stubborn, I’m way ahead of you. I put the Freeride in my tele boots and will never look back! I’ve never had the ability to simultaneously wiggle my warm little toesies, whilst having my heel held in place with absolutely no movement or slop. It stiffened my boots in the cuff, while making the lower flex smoother. I’m more connected to my turns and skiing better than I ever have. Be better than me! Order em up!!!

My freeride zipfits are a game changer. Customer service was epic, called a rep about sizing and he answered first ring. The roomy toe box and insulation are my favorite about zipfit. The cork around ankle is super comfy and very supportive all day long. It’s refreshing to ski all day and not even think twice about boots being uncomfortable or cold.

First few days have been great, so much heel hold and comfort. Didnt' even need to take off my boots at the end of the day, could have hung out all evening!

I switched from Intuition liners to zipfit this season and they are awesome. Takes a few days off skiing to get them perfectly molded to your foot and shell (even after heat molding) but well worth it.

I recently used these for the first time on a quick 3 day trip to Park City and they were night and day more comfortable while at the same time locking my foot into the boot like I've never experienced before. 5/5, would 100% recommend. I've got very wide feet with a medium arch and used these in Nordica SportMachine 3 130 boots which are a relatively high volume, wide last.

J

There are too many good things to say about this liner. These have transformed my skiing. Gone are the days of cold toes, painfully tight buckles, early-season shin pains, and poor heel lock regardless of custom molding and adding foam, and end of the day the joy when getting out of the boots. After moving some cork around after day one I can ski all day with zero pain, my buckles are half as tight as they used to be, I never have to open them up on the lift, and I still have zero foot movement, my toes have yet do get cold and if they do I have room for a toe warmer now. And when I take my boots off at the end of the day it's just like taking off a pair of shoes. They are more comfortable than my hiking boots. I am a tele skier and put these in my Scarp TX Comps. These are especially good in a tele boot because of the toe box. It's softer and has far more room. In my old liners, my toes would be crushed in every turn, but with these, I have room to spare. But because of the stiffer cuff, you also have more power in the turn. So if you tele and are on the fence about getting another set of Intuitions or these just do yourself a favor and get these. Worth every penny.

After reading the reviews, I was cautiously optimistic about how these liners would perform. I have major shin issues (I have large athletic runners' calves), and no matter how much I tighten or reposition the tongue, the original liners would kill me after a few hours of skiing. I would spend the rest of the day praying the ski day would be over so I can take my boots off. Post-ACL surgery, I don't ski as hard anymore, but I am pleasantly surprised at how well these liners worked for me during the three consecutive days of skiing. No shin bruising whatsoever; really amazing.

Terrific customer support in the process of getting my liners. On day one I saw a notable improvement in my ski boot comfort and CONTROL! And as the cork molds to my foot, the comfort and control are getting better and better! They are the best liners I've ever owned (even over high-end intuition liners). I HIGHLY recommend them.

Have about 150 days of use on these now over parts of two seasons and cannot recommend them more highly. Love the skiing feel so much I'm willing to tour in them even on big days and multiday trips. One of the first things I'd run back in for in the event of a house fire.

The Freeride is a game changing liner. I get a better fit in my alpine boots than I ever have before. The cork lasts so much better than an Intuition liner. I have used these liners every day at work for the last few winters, I would have gone through several other liners in the same amount of time. They ski great with good power transfer and a nice fit for my low volume ankles. I highly recommend the freeride - i even have toured in them quite a bit and the performance increase was huge.

It’s amazing what a well fitting liner can do. And it’s even better when that liner doesn’t break down after a season. I’ll be going in my third season in Jackson in these bad boys and they don’t seem ready to let up. Stoked to get ahold of the new GFT for touring as well

This thing doesn't change shape! After going through 2-3 stock liners per year (and even buying new boots just to get liners) I finally decided to go with ZipFit. Over 150 days on these so far and they still feel as solid as day 1! Very happy with the shape and feel.
