Size Chart

What is Mondo sizing? Mondo sizes correspond to foot length in cm.

HOW TO FIND YOUR MONDO POINT SIZE
Print out the ZipFit Measure Your Mondo Size Chart or stand on top of a piece paper with your heel against a wall and all of your weight pressed down upon the foot you are measuring. Then, draw a line at your big toe or the longest point on your foot (we see you Morton's toe). Measure in centimeters the length of the paper to the line, and that is your mondo point size. Measure both feet, and size to the smaller foot.

The interior is stitched with comfortable neoprene that offers just the right amount of padding and is easy to slide on or slip off. Gara HV ski boot liners properly position your foot so that your toes have wiggle room and stay warm thanks to a neoprene toe box insulated with Thinsulate and merino wool. A moderately stiff cuff makes the Gara our most versatile liner, capable of performing in any terrain on the mountain.

Fit considerations

The Gara HV liner is pre-packed with the most OMFit self-molding cork composite, specifically designed for higher volume performance boots and lower volume feet. While the Gara HV comes pre-packed with more cork, skiers can still add more cork (sold separately) to the tongue or ankle pockets to dial in their perfect fit. If the Gara HV has too much volume for your ski boot shells, consider the Gara LV model.

3mm of neoprene lining offer cushion and comfort while still highlighting the efficacy of the cork filling. Feet properly positioned and locked in place. The neoprene interior offers an easier skier experience both putting on and taking off ZipFits.

The ZipFit tongue is built to reflect the asymmetry in the shape of the lower leg, with more padding on the medial side along the tibia and less padding on the lateral muscle of the shin. The pull tab should be centered on the leg for the tongue to be in the proper position.

The neoprene toe box offers a sock-like fit that conforms to the width of the skier's feet. The toe-box is lined with Thinsulate and merino wool to keep toes toast warm.

One of Sven's earliest contributions to ski boots, the power strap has been widely imitated through the ski industry. The ZipFit power strap helps secure the liner and tongue contact to the shin and can help take up volume for skiers with skinnier legs. Use the power strap for added contact and stiffness, or remove if desired.

The asymmetrical tongue design includes a cutout of the plastic tongue shield over the instep to accommodate sensitivity common in this area. Neoprene and the cork pouch are the two materials over the foot, so more cork can be added to take up space if needed.

Designed to keep your heel and mid foot in place, the lacing system positions your foot properly within the liner.

1mm ultra thin laces with speed lock lace mechanism.

Three cork pouches in each liner (located behind the top of the tongue and on either side of the instep) allow you to adjust the cork fill to dial in your perfect fit.

OMFit cork composite is the "active ingredient" in ZipFits, both because it remains dynamic and because it is the ingredient that heals the ailment of bad ski boot liners. It doesn't compress or pack out, it does move around so you can add more if needed.

Can I use ZipFits for Tele boots?

Yes! Tele skiers appreciate the benefits of ZipFits as much as anyone, especially the flexible and comfortable toe box. The GFT is a good option due to the flex panels for lower volume tele boots. We also commonly recommend the Freeride and Workhorse due to their fluted cuff which allows for a larger range of motion for dopping knees.

Do ZipFits work in Snowboard boots?

ZipFits are designed for the forces and fit requirements of skiing. We see plenty of snowboarders find success, but one should expect to make modifications to achieve their desired fit.

What’s better: leather or neoprene?

At all comes down to user preference.

  • Step in
  • Heel hold
  • Cushion

Are you willing to lace up your liners and step into your shells before every use? Our leather lined ZipFits require this move, while our neoprene lined ZipFits are easier to step into. If your answer is “no way” – we suggest the neoprene ZipFits.

Leather offers a true to form fit meaning your ankles and shinbone will imprint into the leather, securing your lower leg and foot to the ultimate degree.

Neoprene has more natural cushioning, so while you can still get an excellent fit, they have a more forgiving feel when skiing.

Both interior liners can last a LONG TIME with proper care. While we think of leather as more durable, we know of a pair of neoprene liners with 1500 ski days.

For precision fit and performance, the leather has a slight advantage.

For ease of use and all mountain comfort, the neoprene has a slight edge.

I noticed some imperfections on my liners. Is this normal?

Each pair of ZipFits are handmade in Montebelluna, Italy. As they are not mass produced, it’s fair to expect some small imperfections with glue, etc. This will not effect the performance of the liners. Each pair is unique and made with love.

Should I use footbeds in my ZipFits?

Yes, we highly recommend using a good over the counter orthotic or custom foot bed in your ZipFits. ZipFits are designed to keep your foot and leg in the proper position within a boot, having the correct footbed for you will help immensely.

Should I buy an OMFit kit with my ZipFits?

For most skiers, this is not necessary, which is why we don’t include the cork kit with purchase. Some skiers find they want to add cork to their liners during the initial fit, some want to add cork after two seasons, and some never add cork to their ZipFits.

Coming from the Freeride which I loved already, the Gara HV for my foot and Salomon Shift Pro 130's is the ultimate one boot quiver. First time I've had absolutely zero heel lift, and I dont want to cut my feet off by lunch time. I love the aggressive stance and high cuff back to keep my calfs protected from my boots on big back seat landings.

These liners have changed skiing for me. All other liners are dead to me. For perspective, this purchase was as important as buying my first drysuit or dropper post. Take the leap and never have ankle sadness again.

Hey Zipfit, you've got a new lifelong customer. I've never written a review for anything in my life, but this earned it. Three days with the Gara HV in my Hawx Magna 120s and I'm in love. I'm well over 200 pounds and ski pretty aggressively for long days, and I'm pretty fussy about how my feet feel, so I ask a lot of my boots. My ski buds know me for constantly fiddling with my buckles, trying to get just a little more hold, and inevitably loosening them back up because I cut off the blood flow. The last three days I haven't messed with them at all throughout the day. Heels are more locked in than ever, whether on groomers or trees or bouncing my big ass through bumps, or landing switch in the park.

I've heard complaints about having to "world cup" into your boots with these, and that's how I get them on. It's easy, especially with a boot horn. Added maybe thirty seconds to my gearing up routine - still out in the parking lot.

Like a lot of people I was VERY skeptical about the price of zipfits. But if they don't pack out and last even HALF as long as people say, they are worth every penny. I never want to ski without them again.

Zipfit liner is loose and do not fit properly. It is not for narrow feet. My heel slips out, and the toe box is loose. The liner that came with the boot (Atomic Hawx Ultra 110) appears to be a much better choice for me. I have attempted to contact the company multiple times, leaving voice messages and emails, but have not received any response. Due to the poor customer service, I would not recommend purchasing these liners. I will return the product and would consider visiting a boot fitter to address my concerns.

I bought my ZipFits in February 2023, right in the middle of that legendary winter we all remember. At the time, I was struggling with a brand-new pair of Tecnica Mach1 boots, and I had run through every padding trick in the bootfitter’s playbook. Finally, I caved and went for ZipFits—and honestly, zero regrets.

They completely transformed my skiing experience. Not only did they save my season by keeping me in those Tecnica shells through spring, but they also slid perfectly into a Nordica Speedmachine 22.5 the next two seasons without skipping a beat.

Now it's September 2025: I’ve racked up 425 days in these liners, and I’d bet I can get another 100 days out of them easy. The only truly noticeable wear is on the heels—which I’ll blame on my stubborn refusal to ever use a shoehorn (lesson learned).

Bottom line: ZipFits turned my boot problems into some of the best seasons I’ve ever had.

Life changing. As a full time patroller with weird feet, these have changed the game completely. I’ve always gotten work done on my shell and liner but it was never enough. The break in period was a little brutal but after that they’re perfect. They fit so nicely and are super comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever ski again without them. Cheers zipfit, thank you!

Not worth the money and over hyped. I found them uncomfortable and hard, i was expecting a softer more comfortable fit. Lots of pressure points, that got worse through the day

I love these liners except for one thing… these aren’t made for short legs.

I’m a 5’4” female who skis at an expert level and averages 30-50 days a season.
The issues I deal with are; I have really wide feet and extremely small ankles and heels. I have very defined a muscular calves but my legs are short.
My biggest issue with ski boots is that I can never get my heel and ankle locked down. In the past I’ve had ankle sprains from how much my heel travels in my boot while turning.
These liners solved that issue for me completely and I am so happy about it. It’s changed how I ski!
But the one thing that I have had a lot of trouble with is the height of the liner. Like most things in the ski world these are designed for men and the liner height and rigidity digs directly into my calf muscles and it causes a lot of pain. It causes my my calves to seize up while skiing steep or difficult terrain. My calves ache and are cramped for days afterwards. The fastening lock for the laces broke on one of my liners after less than ten uses and I’m still trying to figure out a solution that keeps them tight but I can live with that.
I really do love how these liners have stopped my heel slippage and I put up with the calf pain but I wish there was a short cuff or women’s version.
Dear ski industry, please make ski gear for different sized people, we’re not all tall men.

I would give these liner 1000 stars if they fit my short legs!

I finally have the boot fit I’ve been striving for years for and it’s largely due to my Garas. Everything you read about them is true: the heel hold, plush forefoot comfort. It’s amazing how I barely need to tighten my boots and I still have a rock solid connection to my skis. So worth it, even the hassle of putting my boots on racer style.

If I could only get my ski buddies to get a pair of zip fits, they would understand… best performance enhancement decision I’ve done!!! Love my zipfts!

Been using these bad boys since 2015! Will never run a downhill boot without my zipfit liners. My first pair lasted over 800 days - once they were really broken in I moved it over to my touring boot and got a new pair for my Fischer RC4 130. I wear them for park , all mtn, and pow riding. The heel hold is incredible, and power transfer unmatched. The ability to add cork to anywhere you feel necessary is game changing

I had some fit issues with the original liners in my K2 Recon 120 ski boots. I replaced them with the Gara HV ski boot liners, and the fit is much better. I had the Garas fitted at EVO in Seattle, and they are a great improvement. The fit gets better every time I ski.

Chefs kiss. No complaints.

I'm not a pro skier or ski patrol, but i am a pro dad (semi pro if you ask my kids). I have three little rippers I chase down the pow (sometimes back up it), to the hot coco, throughout the resort or in the parking lot. Days can be real long so uncomfortable boots are not welcome, but had been the reality. After three seasons with custom, heat molded boots that always had one issue or another I took the plunge and my only regret is not doing it sooner. It was a lot of money up front, but if they last 10 seasons that's a pretty darn good amortized cost over time.

Great fit, made my old ski boot feels new again.
Heel cushion/outside cover was wearing/peeling with repeatitive in and out of the shell due to my tecnica shell metal cap on the inside of the shell. But otherwise, best investment I had on ski boot/liner

These liners are phenomenal!! The fit is incredibly snug but comfortable…. My first day on them I over tightened the boot and had a little discomfort and from day 2 forward absolutely ZERO complaints… these liners are absolutely a game changer for Me … being an advanced/expert terrain skier I’ve never felt so good in steep bumps and glades now with theses liners

I absolutely love my gara HV

I love these! As a 4-5 day a week patroller, they keep me comfortable and warm all day. And they ski great from a technical aspect.

Excellent. I can't be happier!!!!!

Two comments regarding fitting:
1. The HV model is really wide from the ankle upwards. However, after some days of skiing, the inner foam had adapted perfectly, and I didn't need to remove any padding.
2. The front part of the feet is considerably thinner than the original boot liner of my Technica Mach1. This is no problem at all. I close the two down buckles, which are much narrower than ever.

I am 72 years old and I have been skiing for 60 years. (Started later I know) . I have never really had any problems with my ski boots. My son, who works with zipfit, insisted I give the liners a try. What a game changer! It's like skiing in slippers but with full support. I have improved my skiing noticeably. They are so comfortable and responsive. Recommend them 100% . I ski more efficiently and with less effort. If you ski for fitness this is truly a game changer.

Incredible fit and feel while on the snow. Helps to provide instantanious action through the skis whether carving high speed arcs on the groomers/hardpack, ripping zipper lines in the bumps, dropping crittical lines in the chutes or floating through powder fields. Will help elevate anyones current skill set on the mountain and keep your feet warm all day. No need to "unbuckle for a little relief" on the lift ride up, ever. Pure All-Mountain performance and comfort!

This is the single most significant upgrade so far of all my ski equipments. Prior to this, I have kept tuning my current set of boots, but it never works to the degree that I like. It is either too tight that my feet hurt so much at the end of the day, or it is too loose that won't hold my angle in place.

Zipfit liner totally changed how I experience Ski now, I can just ski all day in this pair a liner with my old boots with comfort, warmth and solid control. My feet no long moves in the boot and they no longer hurt.

I just purchased the Gara HV ZipFit liners which are my 2nd pair of ZipFits over the last 10 years. They are by far the best ski boot liners I've ever had. They don't even come close to standard "store bought, out-of-the-box" boot liners. They are custom fit and because of the cork material, literally take the shape of your ankle, calf, and shin areas so that they truly fit like a glove and provide unbelievable comfort, warmth andhigh performance. Absolutely no "shin bang".

The Customer Service is awesome too. You don't get a robot, recording or someone you cannot understand. You can email or call them and they respond immediately and provide excellent advice and guidance. They have excellent "how to" videos to fit the ZipFits yourself and how to add cork if necessary, which is fairly easy. I would very highly recommend ZipFits to anyone who loves skiing, wants a perfect fit, comfort, warmth, high performance, and excellent customer sevice.

I was a little skeptical when I first received these as the fit was different from my original head liners. Did original fitting with a hair dryer to heat them up a bit. The off to Europe for 6 days of skiing. Took a few days to get them broken in but WoW! Never had this snug a fit and heel hold before! Just loving these!!

G

I didn't want to part with $500, but my liners were packed out and I was getting pretty bad heal lift. I spoke to a few folks that had made the switch to ZipFit and they had nothing but praise.
I made the leap and so glad I did. I love the fit, feels so locked in.
I hope they last as long was everyone says they will, but lovin them right now!

I used these for the first time a week ago, and overall, I was impressed. They were comfortable and warm. I have added additional cork and that was easy to do. Sometimes it is hard to know where to add the cork. They seem well made, though the glue that joins the sole to the boot seems like it could be alittle more robust.

My new Zipfits absolutely transformed my skiing. I put them in a boot with 5 seasons and about 150 total ski days. The boots with Zipfits are far better than when they were brand new. I had no idea how important a solid heel lock was. Since buying my Zipfits, I have much better control and feedback of my skis. This was the best money I ever spent on gear. I just wish I knew about them years ago. If you do not have Zipfits, you should get some. I would recommend them for everybody from the beginner to the most advanced skiers.
