The interior is stitched with comfortable neoprene that effectively controls sweat and is easy to slide on or slip off. Like all ZipFit ski boot liners, the GFT touring liners have a neoprene toe box insulated with Thinsulate and merino wool, helping your feet thermoregulate during frigid pre-dawn starts or high output spring missions in the sun. A flex panel in the back and articulation points in the front promote fore/aft flex for a comfortable range of motion.

Fit considerations

The GFT touring liners are pre-packed with less OMFit self-molding cork composite, specifically designed to be compatible with performance touring boots, hybrid AT touring boots, and telemark ski boots. While the GFT comes pre-packed with less cork, skiers can always add more cork (sold separately) to the tongue or ankle pockets to dial in their perfect fit. Skiers who prioritize performance on the descent have been touring in ZipFits for decades. Now we offer a liner that performs on the descent but is also Great For Touring. Or is it Great For Telemark? Either way, get out there and have a GFT!

Asymmetrical

Cause your legs are different.

The ZipFit tongue is built to reflect the asymmetry in the shape of the lower leg, with more padding on the medial side along the tibia and less padding on the lateral muscle of the shin. The pull tab should be centered on the leg for the tongue to be in the proper position.

Triple insulation

The neoprene toe box offers a sock-like fit that conforms to the width of the skier's feet. The toe-box is lined with Thinsulate and merino wool to keep toes toast warm.

One of Sven's earliest contributions to ski boots, the power strap has been widely imitated through the ski industry. The ZipFit power strap helps secure the liner and tongue contact to the shin and can help take up volume for skiers with skinnier legs. Use the power strap for added contact and stiffness, or remove if desired.

Instep window

The asymmetrical tongue design includes a cutout of the plastic tongue shield over the instep to accommodate sensitivity common in this area. Neoprene and the cork pouch are the two materials over the foot, so more cork can be added to take up space if needed.

Cork pouches

Three cork pouches in each liner (located behind the top of the tongue and on either side of the instep) allow you to adjust the cork fill to dial in your perfect fit.

OMFit cork composite is the "active ingredient" in ZipFits, both because it remains dynamic and because it is the ingredient that heals the ailment of bad ski boot liners. It doesn't compress or pack out, it does move around so you can add more if needed.

Fore/aft flexin'

Front articulation points and rear flex panel for uphill ease.

Fore/aft flex is about promoting natural movement forward and backwards so that the liner/shell combo doesn't limit a skiers range of motion. A rear flex panel and front articulation points promote natural flexion while ascending but don't compromise power transfer on the descents.

Yes! Tele skiers appreciate the benefits of ZipFits as much as anyone, especially the flexible and comfortable toe box. The GFT is a good option due to the flex panels for lower volume tele boots. We also commonly recommend the Freeride and Workhorse due to their fluted cuff which allows for a larger range of motion for dopping knees.

ZipFits are designed for the forces and fit requirements of skiing. We see plenty of snowboarders find success, but one should expect to make modifications to achieve their desired fit.

Are you willing to lace up your liners and step into your shells before every use? Our leather lined ZipFits require this move, while our neoprene lined ZipFits are easier to step into. If your answer is “no way” – we suggest the neoprene ZipFits.

Leather offers a true to form fit meaning your ankles and shinbone will imprint into the leather, securing your lower leg and foot to the ultimate degree.

Neoprene has more natural cushioning, so while you can still get an excellent fit, they have a more forgiving feel when skiing.

Both interior liners can last a LONG TIME with proper care. While we think of leather as more durable, we know of a pair of neoprene liners with 1500 ski days.

For precision fit and performance, the leather has a slight advantage.

For ease of use and all mountain comfort, the neoprene has a slight edge.

Each pair of ZipFits are handmade in Montebelluna, Italy. As they are not mass produced, it’s fair to expect some small imperfections with glue, etc. This will not effect the performance of the liners. Each pair is unique and made with love.

Yes, we highly recommend using a good over the counter orthotic or custom foot bed in your ZipFits. ZipFits are designed to keep your foot and leg in the proper position within a boot, having the correct footbed for you will help immensely.

For most skiers, this is not necessary, which is why we don’t include the cork kit with purchase. Some skiers find they want to add cork to their liners during the initial fit, some want to add cork after two seasons, and some never add cork to their ZipFits.

Threw them in my new Salomon's - heel was immediately locked in. Merino wool in the toe box is amazing. Haven't skied in them yet but can already tell how good they are. The hype is real.

ZipFit changed my life!!! I was introduced to the ZipFit GFT last year and immediately fell in love with the fit and heel security. For thirty years I have struggled with a goofy (extra narrow) heel and this is the first liner to secure my heel on multiple day ski tours without any blisters and using a crazy amount of Leukoplast tape on my heel every year. An absolute game changer!!! The ZipFit liners work so well there is not a liner besides ZipFit that I will ski with. Have replaced all my touring and alpine boot liners with different ZipFits. They are all amazing for different setups. The process of adding cork is super easy and really gets the fit perfectly dialed in. Hard to find the words to say how amazing these are. The improvements in technical turns is super noticeable. Precision level turns because the ankle and heel is so locked in - unlike any other ski boot feeling I’ve had (40 years of skiing). I can skin uphill effortlessly but once I switch into alpine mode this thing is amazing. Can spend all day in them no pain. I did slightly stretch the toe box to give a hair more room. I am a fully certified ski instructor and fully certified mountain guide (IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV) from Austria with around 180 ski days per year. For about 20 years I have struggled to find ski boots that fit my complicated feet (thin heels, bony ankles, wide forefoot). I had symptoms of overuse, which became apparent through swelling and pain. Sometimes I could no longer walk barefoot. To survive the seasons, I needed an average of 3 cortisone injections a month. I have spent thousands of euros on ski boots to try and solve the problem, with moderate success.
In winter 24/25 I came across the Zipfit inner boots and had a GFT fitted by Mitterer Martin, Tegernsee and I have to say I'm thrilled. The skiing feeling is incredible and the pain and inflammation are history. My first winter without visits to the doctor and getting injections. Skiing and ski touring are fun again! I also find that the liners are warmer than anything I've had before. I used the GFT in a Hawk Ultra XTD for skiing and freeriding and in a Backland XTD for ski touring (including several days high alpine crossings) and had no complaints (except maybe the extra weight, but in my opinion that is relativised by the incredible comfort). You don’t need to know my history of ski boot problems, my countless history of pain, numbness and the cost of bootwork liner and shell manipulation I’ve paid for over my life. I love skiing but hate my boots. Until now.

I knew that before I even heat molded these liners that this was the best out of the box system I’ve ever experienced. The liner and insoles fit perfectly in my 23.5 shell. I had a few pain issues but nothing like my stock liner. I went with this liner because the GaraLV circumference was too wide for my shell. This one is perfect 🤩

I followed the directions for heating my liner and chose the rice method. Which is when you fill a sock full of rice and microwave the sock for 6 min. Then place it in the shell for 15 min. Then put your foot in liner, zip the lacing and put in shell, buckle and stand for 15 min. Repeat to other foot. And no joke all my pain points were gone. No shell punching or grinding. No pads needed to be added around my ankle to keep it locked down. No numbness. Just good skiing.

I kid you not. I can not believe I waited this long to find out about this product. I might cry because I don’t have circulation issues. I’m not dreading buying a new pair of boots because this actually works. I’m not fiddling with my buckles anymore. I can just ski.

I wish I could say they paid me to say this! But I paid full price and would and have paid double for a custom set up!!!!

This is my second pair of Zipfit Liners, first pair were purchased for my alpine boots reviewed separately. I purchased these liners from Mountain Chalet in Colorado Springs, CO and did a fitting there with Jim. I've only put about 6 days on them so far but they broke in pretty well on a long tour in to a 10th mountain hut with a very heavy pack. The first time I've ever done a hut trip without getting blisters...worth every dime. These are paired with Technica Zero G Scout (120 flex). A little heavier than the stock liners but the touring and skiing performance is a world of difference. Thank you for making a killer product, you've earned another loyal customer.

The support in the calf and heel is awesome - I have better edge control than in my old liners, but there is not much material or support in the forefoot. It’s basically just a neoprene sock. They felt great in the shop but when I skied in them I realized my whole forefoot was loose in the boot, I have no torsional control and there is no way to modify the liner to add material in that area - only in the tongue and the heel. I bought these from a dealer so I don’t have the return option after skiing them, so I’m out $600. Quite disappointing. I wish there was an option with more structure and volume in the toe box like my stock Intuition liners.

I have narrow feet and ancles, the GFT is the first liner I have had where I could feel that my feet are locked in place without any discomfort!

I got the GFT's in a size 26.5 for my Tecnica Zero G's (shell size 26.5), perfect match!

Also use them in my Scarpa TX Pro (2025) in a shell size 26.5.

I absolutely love these liners for touring. I have a pair of Gara LV's and because of the success I had with those in my resort boot I had to try the GFT for my touring boot. The performance it brings to my Zero G tour pro is well worth the slight weight increase. It would be hard to find a stock touring liner that skis remotely close to this.

People keep asking me and the answer is straight forward. These are the BEST liners I have EVER had. I don't think my ski career would continue with the same amount of happiness and comfort as I have with these liners GFT and Gara LV (one for touring, one for work). If you get fit properly there is no question these are worth your money, your feet will be happy and you will be beyond surprised at what you have been missing all these years. Without them I would be extremely challenged to find the comfort, warmth, durability and performance I have with Zipfit! Thank you all for saving my feet!

Unreal performance! My connection to my skis feels so much better — every motion through my boots translates quicker and more accurately to my skis. I swap these between my resort and touring boots and they work great in both.

I spent the most money on a pair of liners imaginable and they are entirely almost unusable with my zero g pro tour boots. I emailed back and forth and was only sent a set of instructions on how to properly take my boots off. I’ve been backcountry skiing 20 years now 50-75 days a season and you think I don’t know how to remove my own boots? The liners are so stiff in combination and volume that they just don’t work with certain shells. I was told I could return if less than 5 days of use. Most anyone can recognize most touring gear takes about this long to have a broken in feel, so now I have no recourse, and a set of heavy paperweight liners I might be able to use in a different shell some day.

I would not recommend. The liner by itself is fine, but it doesn’t work with certain shells at all.

I so appreciate you taking the time to respond. Means a lot -- also, I know you're part of the NH ski community, and that is my roots so I want to make sure our innerboots are working for your use case (15 years racing in NH and then I was the caretaker at Tux after 6 seasons in the huts).

We recognize the GFT limits some range of motion, but in our testing we primarily noticed it when touring on long flat approaches dragging sleds. I've found that with the Zero G Pro Tour especially, the liner can be laced up and tight and the power strap on, but the primary determinant of range of motion is if the cuff buckles of that shell are unbuckled or not. Regardless, I've found bumping the laces as shown here is really helpful for increased ROM in the GFT. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dNkMGWpzpi0

A couple trouble shooting questions for you:
What type of foot bed are you using in the GFT?
Are you getting lateral or vertical movement of your foot within the GFT?
What about within the GFT and shell when the shell is buckled?

We take returns if the innerboots have less than 5 days of skiing in them. We're also available to chat through any fit issues on the phone or video chat. I really do think the GFT pairs great with the Zero G Pro Tour and the 150+ days I've skied that combo together I've had excellent fit, comfort, and performance. As for taking off the shells/liners - have the boot in ski mode and it should be a breeze.

This is the only ski liner I will ever use. I’m a tele skier new to ZipFits and the hype is real. Picked these up last season and Jeff and the team walked me through an at home molding process - when I still had some play in my boot they helped me install some extra cork in the tongues. Now they fit like a glove and are outrageously comfortable. I use 28 shell but am a true 27.5, so having bomber liners that don’t pack out is essential for me. I can tour all day and I’ll forget to take my boots off while having a beer back at the car. I’m also skiing better than ever - these liners are hella responsive. I just swapped these bad larry’s over to the latest gen Scarpa TX Pros and they’re ready to rip. 10/10

This is my 2nd pair of Zipfilt liners (the 1st pair is a set of Gara's for my resort boots). Perfect complement to my Tecnica Zero G Scout. Definitely would recommend. Same locked in feeling as in my resort boots. No issues with ROM when shell is unlocked for skinning.

Phenomenal upgrade for my touring boots! Boots are more comfortable and ski better than with the stock liners or the intuition liners I tried. After upgrading my touring boot liners, I’m going to replace my resort boots with zip fit liners next season.

Never going back to stock liners. After adding a little cork composite to the tongue and instep the fit is perfect. Now I don't have to tighten the bukcles super tight to achieve a snug, pani free fit.

I've skied in my Zip Fits about a half a dozen times since purchasing them. They are fantastic! Heel lock down has been amazing. I feel far more stable in my boots on aggressive lines, and I can honestly say the body, boot, ski connection has never been better. Like a good pair of dress shoes, these take time to break in, but once they do, ooh la la... I am also a huge fan of the wool in the toe box. I've gone from cold toes to toasty toes, while still wearing my thinner ski socks. Absolutely worth the expense. Its helped to elevate my skiing.

I’m embarrassed that I made it to age 41 as an expert skier and never used a Zipfit until I had to replace my liners this year. It is single-handedly the best piece of gear I own and I own a garage full of ski stuff debatably worth more than my vehicles. I’ll blame it on not having a tele-ready liner until the GFT. Can’t recommend enough.

Purchased for my snowboard boots. Had to do some mods to make ridable since rider's ankle articulation is different from skiers (cutting away tongue plastic liner at bottom of tongue, removal of rivet eyelet, lace removal).

Finally a liner worth keeping. Being able you in my fit with cork to ensure heelhold is unparallel.

I always had blisters on the inner side of my heels, with the stock liner as well as with another aftermarket liner. Now, after my first tours with the GFT I didn‘t have blisters anymore. For my needs the GFT walks uphill very well. Don‘t mind these view grams more in exchange for pain free skinning and the comfort the GFT provides for my feet. On the descent the GFT is - in my humble opinion - amazing for a touring liner (and even really good compared to alpine liners). Finally I think this is a great product and for me it‘s easily worth its price.

This liner is an absolute game changer, they are so comfortable and ski like a banshee. I’m already scheming how to get Zipfits into ALL of my ski boots, I wish I had found them sooner!

I thought they might be too heavy or give me blisters. Turns out, when your liner fits this good and your feet are this comfortable, nothing else matters. Incredibly comfortable, insane heel lock when skiing. Transformed my sloppy boot into something I now TRULY enjoy.
