ZipFit Insoles

ZipFit insoles are ready-to-wear performance insoles designed with a dynamic heel cup molding system that supports your heel, lower ankle, and arch, giving continuous comfort and protection from the ground up. Stabilizing your heel bone and ankle in a neutral alignment allows your arches and forefoot to adapt and move more naturally. Built for every activity, every shoe, and every foot, ZipFit insoles cushion each heel strike so you can outlast your longest days.

Built for comfort
No blisters, slipping, or collapse.

Designed to prevent heel and foot twisting, slipping and blistering in your shoes and boots - on even your longest days.

ZipFit insoles offer excellent stability and foot positioning through the back foot while being trimmable and formable to your footwear through the mid and front foot.

Designed by ZipFit Founder, Sven Coomer, this insole was first produced in 1989 under the name "SoleMate", and has been used and adored for over 30+ years.

ZipFit insoles were designed to be worn daily to reduce stress and fatigue regardless of activity, in any shoe (including your ZipFit Liners).

ZipFit Insoles are designed with an understanding of biomechanics to position your feet neutrally, promoting foot strength and enhancing your alignment.

Each time you apply your weight, the dynamic cupping action provides stability and comfort, creating a deeper and narrower supportive shape.

EVA cork offers a cushioned responsive base for a structured feel and great shock absorption.

From dress shoes to work boots to revitalizing your old Vans, nothing feels quite as nice as leather in your footwear.

The quality is great with leather and absorbing qualities. But the one I bought has to less arch than I would like.

I’ve had Zip fit liners in my ski boots for years and love them. I already have some Heel Loc custom footbeds. I bought these Legacy insoles for my everyday shoes, standing at my woodshop, hiking, and so far they feel great. They have a great balance between form support and a forgiving cushion.

I’ve been using these insoles for a little while now, and one of the biggest things that stands out to me is how well they lock my foot in place inside my shoes/boots. From the first time I put them in, the heel cup felt noticeably secure. My heel doesn’t shift around or slip back and forth like it did with the factory insoles, and that makes a huge difference in stability and comfort throughout the day.

The natural leather top and cork base also seem to grip my foot nicely once they’ve had a little time to break in. After a few wears they started to mold to the shape of my feet, and I no longer feel that loose, slipping feeling that I used to get. A few other reviewers have also mentioned that the leather top keeps their foot “locked in place,” and I totally agree!

Overall, these give me a sense of confidence in my footwear, whether I’m out walking, hiking, or just on my feet all day. I’d definitely recommend these if you’re after better control, stability, and reduced slipping compared to stock insoles.

I like the insole and it provides adequate support for medium arches in a winter boot. I also have the teal colored insole and in comparison - the Legacy insole helps w reducing boot odor after a long day. The reason for it not being 5 stars is because it stained the soles of my cream colored wool socks a chestnut / brown color, after a day of moderate wear.

I like the leather top and not too rigid support - perfect for my foot. Gives enough support for my relatively low arch foot. Have had more rigid insoles which are uncomfortable after a long day on the slopes or standing and waking.

For an insole that's not molded to your foot these are pretty darned good so far.Looking forward to working them in more and having them conform to my feet.

I got the Legacy insoles for my wife’s ski boots last year and she loves them. I was very happy to see that my size was in stock a few weeks ago. I’ve now paired them with my Zipfit liners (which I absolutely love!) and look forward to skiing with this combo as soon as our local mountain opens.

Love the Legacy insoles! Fit great in my winter boots, my Fubukis and also in my vans. Very comfortable! I can fully recommend the insoles!

Was excited to try out these insoles ... and it was worth the wait! Slid them into my Vans and Blundstones on day one and it was incredible. Love the texture of the leather underfoot and it gets more comfortable every day! Big fan of the liners and can highly recommend the insoles. Go get 'em!

After packing out the liners that came with the boots, I came across Zipfit. After I got them I took a look at the original insoles in the old liners and axed the idea of using them. I came back to Zipfit and bought the Legacy insoles (of course they fit perfectly). When I got on the snow, as I skied off the lift in the first few seconds I said to my buddy, "These liners are amazing!" Because they were new liners, I have no way to compare the insoles, but the whole system started out great and got better. Since then, I buy these insoles for my regular shoes now and it's a vast improvement over the ridiculously priced "custom" insoles at the fancy shoe stores.

Purchased 2 pair of Legacy footbeds. They’re perfect. I put them in high end hiking boots and sneakers, big difference. So comfortable, like my Zipfit ski boot liners. I’ve tried many different footbeds over the years but these are the best!!!

I bought the Legacy insoles and couldn't be happier. I spent a lot of time on my feet today working an event, and standing while talking to the public. I chose the best shoes I had for that event work knowing I usually would still have some pain and discomfort after a few hours. With the ZipFit Legacy insole in those shoes I managed a long day on my feet with happy pain free feet. I'm so happy with the performance of them that I purchased two more pair so I can set up my hiking and work shoes.

Absolutely love that these mold over time to your foot, and the leather top sheet really keeps your foot locked in place in your footwear. Highly recommend a set in your shoes/boots/ski boots.

These are great in my hiking boots! Strongly recommend this! Fit was perfect.

Have only used them twice in my ski boots at this point, but bought a second set for regular tennis shoes as well. So far i've noticed the heal pocket is very locked in and I'd imagine like any good cork bedded shoes or sandals. It helped one of my two feet relieve an ankle pressure point as well in my zipfit liners (fischer rc4 pro zip). So far I'm optimistic that they will even mold more to my feet as this is just initial thoughts, but I'm happy with how my feet feel in them. The second set I bought will go in my race boots. My race boots have another brand's insoles and in comparison to these, they feel more generic and less supportive, especially considering the heal pocket. Zip insoles heal pocket is very positive feeling.

I purchased these insoles to use in my ski boots, but as soon as I got them I put them in my house shoes to see how they felt. I noticed IMMEDIATELY that I stood differently - better posture, more upright - and felt my forefoot in ways that I never had, like my toes were free to spread out and like I had way more "good data" coming in from my forefoot. Needless to say, I never took them out of my house shoes and instead, I ordered 2 more pair, one for my ski boots and one for my walking shoes. I am standing in them now as I write this.
Now, if ZipFit would offer a foot of fresh snow with each pair of insoles............

Awesome product! I prefer the Legacy insole over much more expensive custom insoles. I have purchased and used these insoles in the ski boots and also in a few pairs of my shoes and work boots. Thank you ZF for continuing to provide products that make skiing better!

I purchased 2 pairs of these and put one in my resort ski boots and another pair in street shoes. They have been great in both instances. Love the arch support and in my ski boots in combination with the zipfit liner I’ve never had better heel hold.

Excellent insole, I use them in my zip fit liners having replaced custom insoles and they have broken in and are more comfortable than my old custom footbeds that cost 3x!

Never a day without LEGACY. Great product.

The Legacy Insole is a great combination / companion for your ZipFit Liners. The cork molds to contours of your foot with time / use and is way more comfortable than the molded custom insoles. My foot gets a little different on different days and when skiing different terrain and is certainly different than how previous custom insole formed in a ski shop fit. Every day the insole seems to get more comfortable and fit better!

ZipFit changed my life!!! I was introduced to the ZipFit GFT last year and immediately fell in love with the fit and heel security. For thirty years I have struggled with a goofy (extra narrow) heel and this is the first liner to secure my heel on multiple day ski tours without any blisters and using a crazy amount of Leukoplast tape on my heel every year. An absolute game changer!!! The ZipFit liners work so well there is not a liner besides ZipFit that I will ski with. Have replaced all my touring and alpine boot liners with different ZipFits. They are all amazing for different setups. The process of adding cork is super easy and really gets the fit perfectly dialed in. Not only are the liners incredible, paired with the legacy insoles you have a winning combination. Forget thinking about foam or any other liner options, just go with the ZipFit liner!!!

Stellar insoles. Other brands provide support, but typically make me stand with my weight back in my heels. The Zipfits seem to put you in a more athletic position, with weight on the balls of your feet. The cork is also extremely comfortable.

These insoles go where I go. Hike, yard work, conference, walk with my dog, etc. From boots to dress to sneaks I’m moving them from shoe to shoe. Love ‘em.

Third pair, got these to drop in my winter boots. Love em.

Based on how incredible my ZipFit liners have been I was excited to give the insoles a try. Four days in, each with 12+ hours on my feet, I’m blown away. So, so much better than the superfeet greens that replaced. Fantastic support that feels like my custom insoles for skiing. Worth every penny if you care about your feet!

These things are a game changer. I have never had specialized insoles in my life. As a veterinarian, I am on my feet all day, every day, so knew I needed something other than the factory insole in my daily work tennis shoes. I was lucky to come across ZipFit insoles. The difference in comfort & support is unreal. I would regularly get home after long surgery days and have to lay down immediately to alleviate back pain. I’ve had two similar days since switching to these insoles and already feel worlds better at the end of the day. If you spend a decent amount of time on your feet do yourself a favor and swap out your paper thin factory insoles for these. You will not regret it.

These things are the best! I’ve always probably needed insoles but never liked how others feel on my feet and after about a week of wearing them it turned my beat up pair of boots I wear to work into my most comfortable pair. I work in the hospital and stand/walk around a lot and I am super impressed with how well they’ve done to both cushion and support my feet. If they weren’t so easy to swap between shoes I would buy another pair (I still might!).
They advertise about 9 hours of break in for the insoles themselves, in my experience it took about a week to fully break my leather shoes in as they take up slightly more space than the factory inserts and the leather takes time to stretch, even so they were no less comfortable than my boots without them over the break in period. Great product for everyone, can’t recommend them highly enough!

What is a drop-in insole?

Drop-in insoles are replacement footbeds that are designed to fit a variety of feet and shoes and offer heightened support and foot alignment. Insoles were made to provide a variety of benefits, including increasing comfort and arch support in daily wear, relieving foot and joint pain, providing support to decrease injury risk, enhancing athletic performance, and more.

What size should I order?

Choose the footbed that corresponds to the your shoe size. If between sizes, it’s best to size up and alter them if needed.

Can I alter them?

You can trim the footbeds to length if you are between sizes. Check out the Trim to Fit Instructions video.

What types of shoes can I wear these in?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles were designed to fit in all shoes and all sports, including your ZipFit liners. They can be dropped into any shoe for any activity to increase support, comfort, and healthy foot positioning.

How long do they take to break in?

In general, your insoles should be broken in after about 10 hours of walking with them. We suggest walking in them for a few hours prior to wearing for a full day of heavy activities. If you’re unfamiliar with wearing footbeds, expect a light pressure at the back of the arch until worn in.

How long do they last?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles are made with intention and without planned obsolescence, like ZipFit innerboots. Constructed using an EVA Cork and natural leather top sheet, these respond well to heat, and will adapt to the form of the foot to get better over time. They will last you for as long as a pair of shoes last, if not much longer.

My feet are hurting after continued wear. What should I do?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles may provide dramatic improvements and relief in comfort and support. However, our insoles are not a substitute for professional medical examinations, core and corrective orthotics as prescribed by licensed physicians and podiatrists. If ZipFit support is not comfortable we recommend a thorough foot examination by your podiatrist. The sooner you act, the better your chances for relief.
