What is Mondo sizing? Mondo sizes correspond to foot length in cm.

HOW TO FIND YOUR MONDO POINT SIZE
Print out the ZipFit Measure Your Mondo Size Chart or stand on top of a piece paper with your heel against a wall and all of your weight pressed down upon the foot you are measuring. Then, draw a line at your big toe or the longest point on your foot (we see you Morton's toe). Measure in centimeters the length of the paper to the line, and that is your mondo point size. Measure both feet, and size to the smaller foot.

The interior is stitched with form fitting leather of the highest quality, sourced from the same tannery that supplies Ferrari. For skiers looking for durability and a true to form fit that perfectly reflects the shape of your foot and lower leg, the Workhorse ski boot liners will get the job done. The leather interior meets the needs of hard daily use while keeping your foot and leg snug in the correct position, whether skiing, skating, or hiking.

Fit considerations

The Workhorse ski boot liners are pre-packed with the most OMFit self-molding cork composite, specifically designed for all day comfort and performance in mid to high volume ski boot shells, but skiers can add more cork (sold separately) to the tongue or ankle pockets to dial in their perfect fit. Ski patrollers have long been ZipFit loyalists, the Workhorse carries the ethos of handcrafted leather work boots and quality leather gloves – with some care, they will make your job more enjoyable and give you one less piece of gear to worry about replacing at the beginning of each season.

The Workhorse is the one ZipFit with a full grain leather exterior that will break in like an old baseball mitt.

Designed to accommodate larger, lower set calves, the fluted cuff reduces calf pain and is a more forgiving fit. Ski bell to bell with less fatigue and calf soreness.

One of Sven's earliest contributions to ski boots, the power strap has been widely imitated through the ski industry. The ZipFit power strap helps secure the liner and tongue contact to the shin and can help take up volume for skiers with skinnier legs. Use the power strap for added contact and stiffness, or remove if desired.

Designed to keep your heel and mid foot in place, the lacing system positions your foot properly within the liner.

1mm ultra thin laces with speed lock lace mechanism.

The Workhorse has a neoprene shivola to assist with step-in, while the neoprene tongue offers more comfort through the front of the liner.

The rest of the interior lining use 1mm premium leather from the same tannery that Ferrari uses, offering a precision fit and unparalleled heel hold.

Three cork pouches in each liner (located behind the top of the tongue and on either side of the instep) allow you to adjust the cork fill to dial in your perfect fit.

OMFit cork composite is the "active ingredient" in ZipFits, both because it remains dynamic and because it is the ingredient that heals the ailment of bad ski boot liners. It doesn't compress or pack out, it does move around so you can add more if needed.

The neoprene toe box offers a sock-like fit that conforms to the width of the skier's feet. The toe-box is lined with Thinsulate and merino wool to keep toes toast warm.

The asymmetrical tongue design includes a cutout of the plastic tongue shield over the instep to accommodate sensitivity common in this area. Neoprene and the cork pouch are the two materials over the foot, so more cork can be added to take up space if needed.

The ZipFit tongue is built to reflect the asymmetry in the shape of the lower leg, with more padding on the medial side along the tibia and less padding on the lateral muscle of the shin. The pull tab should be centered on the leg for the tongue to be in the proper position.

Can I use ZipFits for Tele boots?

Yes! Tele skiers appreciate the benefits of ZipFits as much as anyone, especially the flexible and comfortable toe box. The GFT is a good option due to the flex panels for lower volume tele boots. We also commonly recommend the Freeride and Workhorse due to their fluted cuff which allows for a larger range of motion for dopping knees.

Do ZipFits work in Snowboard boots?

ZipFits are designed for the forces and fit requirements of skiing. We see plenty of snowboarders find success, but one should expect to make modifications to achieve their desired fit.

What’s better: leather or neoprene?

At all comes down to user preference.

  • Step in
  • Heel hold
  • Cushion

Are you willing to lace up your liners and step into your shells before every use? Our leather lined ZipFits require this move, while our neoprene lined ZipFits are easier to step into. If your answer is “no way” – we suggest the neoprene ZipFits.

Leather offers a true to form fit meaning your ankles and shinbone will imprint into the leather, securing your lower leg and foot to the ultimate degree.

Neoprene has more natural cushioning, so while you can still get an excellent fit, they have a more forgiving feel when skiing.

Both interior liners can last a LONG TIME with proper care. While we think of leather as more durable, we know of a pair of neoprene liners with 1500 ski days.

For precision fit and performance, the leather has a slight advantage.

For ease of use and all mountain comfort, the neoprene has a slight edge.

I noticed some imperfections on my liners. Is this normal?

Each pair of ZipFits are handmade in Montebelluna, Italy. As they are not mass produced, it’s fair to expect some small imperfections with glue, etc. This will not effect the performance of the liners. Each pair is unique and made with love.

Should I use footbeds in my ZipFits?

Yes, we highly recommend using a good over the counter orthotic or custom foot bed in your ZipFits. ZipFits are designed to keep your foot and leg in the proper position within a boot, having the correct footbed for you will help immensely.

Should I buy an OMFit kit with my ZipFits?

For most skiers, this is not necessary, which is why we don’t include the cork kit with purchase. Some skiers find they want to add cork to their liners during the initial fit, some want to add cork after two seasons, and some never add cork to their ZipFits.

Comfortable and durable. I'd happily recommend them to anyone who needs reliable gear that keeps up in both good and bad conditions.

So far so awesome. I have about 12 days on these liners and I’m very happy with my purchase. I have pretty normal feet and calves, but these have given new life to old shells and have given me the confidence of moving to new shells with incredible fit in the future. Looking forward to taking care of these for many years to come. World-cupping into the shell is a little faffy, but so is everything about skiing is faffy and it’s worth the effort.

I thought it was too heavy but I will need to ski them first to comment them. After been wearing them again and again every days for a week then start applying medium heat with the heat gun and massaging them slowly. They are now much more comfortable and with 360 degrees locking my feet to the liners like wearing soft cast. I think I would need to add a little more cork above the back of my feet to reduce some space as well as above my ankles to hold down the them even more.

6/5 stars. These fit my mid/lowish volume boots perfectly. I’ve got them in the K2 Cortex 140. They feel very similar to the Gara LV in terms of volume but the cuff and cork fill is like the Freeride. It’s the best of both worlds and the leather lined interior and exterior offers the best heel hold I’ve ever had. Thank you ZIPFIT!

I’m a working ski instructor using Tecnica Mach 1 MV 120 boots. I’ve generally been impressed with Tecnica’s stock liners compared to other brands and didn’t have any real complaints. That said, the difference between the stock liner and the ZipFit Workhorse is truly night and day.

The 25.5 liner I purchased was a perfect match for both my foot and the shell. After heating them at home, the initial fit was very good—comfortable, but not yet perfect. It took a few days on snow to really get them fully settled in.

I did reheat them once more and massaged the cork from the bottom of the tongue upward to relieve some pressure on the top of my foot—an easy and very effective adjustment. At the same time, I re-laced the liner to skip the bottom eyelets, which further reduced pressure across the top of my foot. That combination proved to be spot-on, and everything has felt dialed in over the past month of use.

At this point, the liners are properly molded to both my foot and the boot, and they feel fantastic. The immediacy of input to the ski is genuinely impressive, and the overall comfort is outstanding.

While ZipFits aren’t inexpensive, they offer excellent long-term value when you consider performance, comfort, warmth, and durability.

Nite and day difference from stock liners. I Did a home fit to try out. Huge difference, it’s a firm fit as in the feel of the cork which is good and once fitted by a pro my foot will be part of my ski like it should be but not in a tight or constricted way. I Definitely will get a pro boot fitting from a zipfit dealer to optimize. I Love these wish I bought these years ago and highly recommend. To World Cup into shell took some practice. Make sure to do with room temp or warm Boots. I bought CRC Dry PTFE Lube Spray and sprayed inner shells of boots NOT the Liners and it helps slide them right in.

Total upgrade to my boot system. Immediately felt the improvement in control and total elimination of heel lift.

I’m using these 27.5 Workhorse Liners in a 29.0 Scarpa 4 Quattro Pro shells with a custom footbed, as my bootfitter was not able to get the 28.5 liner into the shells. As a result, I had to add about 2-3 tubes of cork into the tongue so I could get the proper amount of support to be properly fore in my stance. I’m really loving the performance of these. I was originally interested in these because of their longevity, but the performance of these is also unparalleled. The only downside to these is that the cork material is not as insulating as traditional foam liners, so my feet tend to get colder, faster on a cold day. It also takes a bit longer to put on since I have to use the “world cupping” method to put them on. Be sure to get the boot horn, because without that, I feel it would be impossible to get on with my specific boots (boots have flaps to keep snow out). The boot horn also prevents wear on the liners as well apparently. I was hesitant at first to get ZipFit Boot Liners because it sounded like a hassle to get them on, but it’s not as bad as I had expected, it just took me a little bit to get the hang of things (liners has to be aligned and I have to have the boot tongue lifted up). As a full time ski instructor, these liners have given me the ability the crush exams & allows me to demonstrate proper skiing techniques to my clients. My old gear with my packed out liners was definitely limiting my skiing ability, both professionally & personally. I am now saving money too by not needing to run to the boot fitter for new liners every 120 days, all I have to do is simply add cork when things start to get packed out. ZipFit Boot Liners have really changed the game. The longevity & performance of them far outweigh the time it takes to put them on or the diminished insulation compared to traditional foam liners. Thanks ZipFit! :)

Game changer.
I have a large foot and all my life had foot pain even after punching my boots. This year I decided to give a try with zipfit. This is totally worth every penny. I went to see a ski shop to help me adjust my liner and I went strait to the slope to see how it feels. At my big surprise, absulotly no more pain. Not only my pain is gone, the liner is warmer then every other ski liner I wear. My feet feels confortable and I have lots of space for my toes which feel weird at first but has no effect on performance. Talking about performance. I find I have better control because the liner hold my hankle really tight and makes controling my ski way more precise. Today, I wear my boots for a full day of ski and I never unbuckled my boot and I kept it all day. It feels so confortable. My only regret is that I should have make that purchase 5 years earlier.

These feel great. My only complaint is the leather inside the liner really sticks to socks. It makes getting in and out more difficult. I got the Ski Boot Horn and it helps.

Been struggling with boots and liners for years. Finally pulled the trigger and committed to a great product. Fits wonderfully and more feel now to the skis. Well worth the price.

The workhorse liners are amazing. After a few tweaks after a few long vacation week days they feel amazing. Warm and comfortable through the entire work day.

great product. i broke the widget that holds the laces together first day. overall best product on the market.

Good heel hold and I love the neoprene in the toes. I wish they 1. Came with more cork initially. I've lost count of how many tubes I've dumped in. 2. Weren't as heavy. Cork is heavy AF and the liner is stiff. I would NOT recommend touring in them for these two reasons. I know they have some touring specific models coming out but with the weight of cork I will probably stick to standard foam liners in my lighter weight touring boots.

Zipfit gets the feminist award of the year for making a high-performance product for women my size.

I am a female with a small, narrow, very low volume foot, narrow heels and small ankles. According to most manufacturers in the ski industry, I should not exist; maybe I should be hanging out in the village buying handbags?

This is my third pair of Zipfit liners, and this one is the best.

There's pretty much nothing but Zipfit that keeps my heel in the pocket so I can ski safely and aggressively. The combination of cork and leather breaks in to mold to both the foot and the interior of the shell in ways that literally nothing else does. My toes can wiggle, but my heel stays locked. It's amazing. Regular Zipfits are great, but the leather ones are incredible!

Note: My review is attached to the purchase of the 21.5. But, I ended up exchanging them for a 22.5 right after they arrrived. The exchange was smooth and communication with Zipfit was simple. I wear the 22.5 liners inside a 21.5 Dalbello shell. I still believe these fit true to size. My foot length measures out at a 22.5, but due to the overall shape of my foot, I have to wear 21.5 shells.

I know I'm not the only woman with this predicament, so I hope that my review helps you find your holy grail setup.

This is my first Workhorse liner. I have skied several different zip liners over the years, both neoprene and leather versions, depending on my boot and the fit. The workhorse filled up my new Tecnica Firebird 110/93 last the best. I originally looked for a Free-ride in a 22.5 as that interfaces with the back of my boot the best, but they were sold out. The Workhorse is the same fill and upper but leather. Although it took a little longer to break in compared to a neoprene liner, I find that the fit is more consistent throughout the day. I rarely change the buckling whereas I generally have to tighten the buckles as the day goes on.

R
Randy

I have a Workhorse liner in a S Pro Alpha 120. At first, I was not used to how stiff the combination is (I'm coming from a hybrid touring boot that has probably gotten too soft over my constant use in 5+ seasons). I might have also overtightened my buckles as the liner is a lot thicker than stock. Fortunately, my boot buckles could be extended further and that helped a lot.

I'm still getting used to the shell/liner combination but I notice my feet doesn't get as tired after skiing vs. my old setup, presumably because my feet are not swimming around in a packed out liner anymore.

I also added a spoiler as I felt the Workhorse made me stand a little too upright. The spoiler is held in place by some small pieces of velcro I stuck onto the black "plastic" parts of the liner and further secured by wrapping the Zipfit strap around the spoiler.

Overall it has been great and heel and locked in.

Love these so far. I have 17 days in them this season (purchased late season). Paired with Nordica Promachines. They work exactly as everyone says. They create an excellent hold of the ankle and heel, and the cork is excellent for increasing precision and energy transfer while also being very comfortable overall. The Promachines are a couple seasons old, and I skiied the stock liner, which is great. However, it was on its way out and I wanted to replace with a Zipfit for the long-term, so I chose the Workhorse because I like the use of leather (reminded me of my hockey skates, which like ski boots, require a precise fit). My Promachines fit great out of the box and required no mods. However, I did have to mod the shell slightly after moving to the Zipfit. The seam on the Zipfit between the leather and neoprene goes right over the end of the bone on the very outside of the foot right before the step down to the heel region (just up from the instep buckle line on the lower shell). This is the only spot on my foot that has a very slight protrusion. It was not a problem with the stock liner because the seam on it was in a different spot and used less volume there to fit in the unmodified shell comfortably. However, the Zipfit put just enough extra volume in this area to make it a very uncomfortable hot spot for me, which I didn't realize until I actually started skiing them (thought break-in might solve, but no). I solved this by simply heating the shell with a heat gun in just this region and pushing it out a bit by hand with a leather ski glove on. Only needed a little bit, any more would have required a punch tool at a shop (like I said, fine prior to the zipfit so we are just talking about very small adjustments). After that, everything has been incredibly comfortable, warm, and precise. Skiing is great. I have been on a couple long inbounds bootpacks in Utah too, so walking is good. Love them all day. Looking forward to many years using these. Very happy with the investment. I am a 46-year old dad. My 16-year old daughter also has Zipfit Corsas this year paired with her Atomic Redster CS boots and she loves them too with one full season in them behind her now. She got her Corsas at the beginning of the season along with new boots. I got my Workhorses later in the season after seeing her experience, but just replaced the liner of my existing boot. Both the Workhorse and Corsa have leather interiors, so "World Cup step-in" (putting liner on outside the shell and then stepping into the shell) is recommended and probably necessary. This took me some getting used to, but was fine after the first couple times out. It is definitely not as easy for me as some people make it look with an effortless step into a race boot and no hands used. My daughter pretty much steps her Corsas right into her Redsters, but with my Promachines, I have to pry apart the shell over the instep pretty far to get in. I don't know how I would get these into a shell that uses BOA and I don't plan to find out. A little clutsy, but once in, they feel great. Getting out is the reverse, but goes much easier and does not require prying the instep. I just lean forward and push the back of the boot cuff. First few times doing this outside at the car is a pain, but you figure it out quickly. Overall, small price to pay for comfort, warmth, and most importantly, long-term precision of fit. My only regret is that I did not move to these sooner.

Have wide feet, dealt with uncomfortable boots the last 15 years. It’s like stepping into a pair of uggs. Can’t believe the improvement. Also performance is noticeable. Somehow both stiff/responsive and comfortable

5 days into wearing this liner and I no longer have thoughts of learning to snowboard next season. My heel is locked, the feel and control is incredible, and I’ve never been more comfortable. Thank you for making me love skiing again.

I originally had these in a set of Atomic Ultra Hawk XTD 120s, and they were game changing. I then decide to try the GFTs, as they would be lighter and better for touring. That was a good decision. These sat around until I decided to try putting them in my snowboard boots. They not only fit, but made the snowboard boots hold my foot like a glove. They also made them significantly stiffer overall, which was helpful. The boots are K2 Maysis with internal and external boa systems. This was as good an upgrade in SB boots as it is in ski boots! Another reason to get zip fits!

I ski 40-50 days per year. 20-30 as coach/instructor and the Workhorse liner is the best upgrade to my boots since... well... EVER! Had the, heat molded on Thursday, skied them a few hours the next day, Friday - felt good. Then put a full day in on Sunday and they are absolutely amazing. Very responsive, very comfortable (after a few hours of break-in) and toe box is SO nice and warm. Love the combination of leather and wool liner.
I am a fan for life! Get some!!

Got the Workhorse, warmed it, fitted it, skied. This liner goes in my Nordica Unlimited 130. First day was still squishing out the fit. After that they skied like a dream. Still offers plenty of movement and comfort when in walk, trek mode. But turns the boot into a real alpine boot when all locked down. I love the comfort, the style, and the performance of this liner. It is a touch difficult to get in at first, but by day 5 it was going in pretty smooth.

These things are amazing. Over a decade of ski instructing and these liners have given me a feel of the snow that I didn’t think was possible. The responsiveness and fit, mind blowing. I have tried to switch back to stock liners and it feels like wearing clown shoes. I’ve put about 100 days into them and the only wear I’m seeing is a spot on a lace. Highly recommend these or any zipfit liners, I know I don’t want to ski in anything other than my Handmade Italian leather ski slippers.
